Whitefish lake is one of the many lakes connecting the
Rideau system, it offers depths of up to 25 feet, is easily navigable
and offers many rock faces, small islands, stumps and excellent bass
cover. It also connects with Little Cranberry, Cranberry and
Dog Lake, without travelling through any of the lock stations, which
is a total of approximately 13 miles.
All four lakes are plentiful with large and small
mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, and perch. Dog lake reaches
depths of up to 175' and offers great lake trout and splake fishing.
Fishing licences are available at many locations
nearby, or once you cross the Canadian border, just past the sight
seeing tower.
For rules, regulations, pricing, size and limit
restrictions visit the Ministry
