Shangri-La Lodge and Marina

Shangri-La Lodge & Marina
Situated on Whitefish Lake
in the heart of the
Rideau Canal

Great FishingShangri-La was built in the late 1800s and was originally a log farmhouse. Today the restaurant and bar boost the original log walls and beams. Located near the base of Jones Falls Locks, on Whitefish lake in Jones Falls, Ontario, Canada.

It is a fisherman's paradise with 4 lakes - Whitefish, Little Cranberry, Cranberry and Dog, available for one's fishing pleasure. These lakes span approximately 13 miles, all connected without having to use the locks. They are plentiful with fish including large mouth bass, small mouth bass, northern pike, perch, crappy, lake trout and splake.

We offer rooms, cabins, full service restaurant and bar, boat rentals, and boat launch, as well as a gas and pump-out marina, featuring 15 and 30 amp service as well as potable water right at the dock.

The Rideau Canal is a designated Canadian Heritage River, consisting of a series of beautiful lakes and rivers connected by canals. It spans from Kingston, at the foot of Lake Ontario, to Ottawa, Canada's capital.

Shangri-La is just a 1/2-hour drive from the Thousand Islands International Bridge at Ivy Lea. Or 4 hours by boat, 35 minutes by car from Kingston. See the location page for directions.

Shan-gri-La [as n.] (a Shangri-La)
